Our core business is residential block management and we have a reputation for being professional, reliable and proactive in our approach. The team, led by Ian Stanistreet and Ian Magenis, operates nationwide and have many years’ experience. All of our Property Managers are members of the Institute of Residential Property Managers. 3PS (Third Party Solutions) offers an unrivalled survey and valuation instruction panel management system to clients. Operating nationwide, it has a secure cloud-based portal which is user-friendly and ensures clients receive an excellent level of management information throughout the valuation instruction process, along with a detailed analysis of each property. Scanlans Fire Risk Assessments
Each year, accidents caused by fire and smoke inhalation in buildings lead to many deaths. Since October 2006, new fire safety rules were introduced whereby anyone who has control over premises must take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of fire occurring and ensure that in the worst case scenario, occupants can safely escape. The regulations apply to all non domestic properties and include the communal areas of flats.
A “responsible” person must be appointed to under- take a fire risk assessment to identify the possible hazards and reduce the risk of those hazards occurring to an acceptable level.
We are experienced in the provision of fire risk assessments on all types of commercial property and blocks of flats.
Scanlans Facilities Management
Our team led by Ben Mason provides cleaning and caretaking services and more at scores of apartment blocks.
The staff complement our property management services by proactively checking buildings, identifying minor and essential repairs and fixing them on the spot wherever possible. Issues which cannot be resolved immediately are relayed to the relevant property manager who will be able to sort them out promptly.
With the aid of a maintenance tracking app, the facility management team provide a clear audit and reporting trail. They take photographs on their mobile phones, record their actions and upload the information on to our system. The facility management service adds tremendous value for our clients on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
Meet the Directors
Ian is an experienced Chartered Surveyor and an RICS Registered Valuer with extensive knowledge of commercial and residential markets. Together with Ian Magenis, Ian heads up Scanlans Property Management. He also specialises in Landlord & Tenant and Compulsory Purchase matters.
Ian has extensive knowledge of landlord and tenant matters who’s specialist areas include advising on the right to manage, the right to appoint and general tenant disputes.
Bev is a RICS Registered Property Receiver and Valuer, a Fellow of the Association of Property & Fixed Charge Receivers and a Fellow of ARLA.
Neil is an RICS Registered Valuer and Property Receiver, an Expert Witness and consultant to lenders seeking valuation advice. He has extensive experience of commercial valuations as well as development finance and appraisals.
Tony is a Chartered Building Surveyor and RICS Registered Expert with many years experience of advising on a variety of property matters across the UK.
Andrew is a RICS Registered Property Receiver who also specialises in residential valuations. He is based in London.
